Set in the heart of downtown Mytilene, just a short walk from the harbour, Home #itsafeeling is a distinctive local landmark — a place known for its character, atmosphere and easy place in the daily rhythm of the city. For the duration of the Lesvos Policy Forum, two of its specially configured two-storey buildings will operate exclusively for the Forum, hosting all sessions, panels and plenary events in a setting designed to encourage close dialogue, focused exchange and an authentic sense of place.
Air Access
Mytilene International Airport "Odysseas Elytis" (MJT) is located approximately 7 km south of Mytilene city centre.
Domestic flights
Year-round connections from Athens (approx. 1 hour) and Thessaloniki are operated by Aegean Airlines, Olympic Air and Sky Express, with multiple daily departures during summer months.
International flights
During the summer season (May–October), direct charter and scheduled flights connect Lesvos with several European cities, including London, Manchester, Birmingham and select Scandinavian destinations. For delegates arriving from other international hubs, a connection via Athens is the most convenient option.
Sea Access
Mytilene port is one of the busiest in the northeastern Aegean, with regular ferry connections throughout the year.
From Piraeus (Athens)
Daily overnight ferries operated by Blue Star Ferries and Hellenic Seaways (approx. 12 hours). Departures typically in the evening, arriving the following morning — a scenic and comfortable option.
From Kavala (Northern Greece)
Regular ferry connections from the port of Kavala, convenient for delegates arriving from northern Greece or the Balkans.
From Turkey
A short ferry route connects Ayvalık (Turkey) to Mytilene, making it a convenient option for delegates travelling from Turkey or connecting through Istanbul.
Getting Around
Mytilene is a compact, walkable town. The university campus, harbour, and most central hotels are all within easy reach of each other.
Taxis are readily available at the airport and port. Car rental agencies operate at the airport and in the city centre for those wishing to explore the island. Detailed transfer arrangements for Forum delegates will be announced closer to the event.

Mytilene offers a range of hotels and guesthouses to suit every budget. Below are some recommended options close to the Forum venue. An official accommodation partner with preferential rates for delegates will be announced soon.
